The NYC subway system, in addition to its transportation functionality, is a rich and varied visual delight. The interior spaces, ripe with the contrasts of light and shadow, are a rich location to focus one’s photographic lens.
This is just what one photographer has done with his series ‘Underground NYC.’ Exploring a combination of the subway landscape and portrait photography, the series offers a vision of stillness that is not often seen amidst the bustle of train stations.
