Sometimes you need just one glance and you instantly notice that two people you’re looking at are parents and children, because the resemblance is so obvious. But if they are so similar now, would we be able to tell the difference between parents’ younger selves and their children?

Some celebrities have children that look almost identical to them when they were younger and it is so fascinating to see what genetic traits from their appearance their children got.

Maya Rudolph is the daughter of the singer-songwriter Minnie Riperton, often referred to as “queen of the whistle register.” Maya is also a singer and she first became known as a member of the alternative rock band The Rentals. Music isn‘t her only interest and she has played in movies like 50 First Dates (2004) and lent her voice to characters in Shrek The Third (2007) and Big Hero 6 (2014). Maya has appeared in many TV series: you can see her acting in the medical drama series City of Angels (2000), Chicago Hope (1994), and others.

Maya Hawke is the daughter of the actress, writer, producer and model Uma Thurman. Like both her mother and grandmother, Nena von Schlebrügge, Hawke modelled for Vogue at the beginning of her career. Later Maya turned to acting and made her debut in the 2017 BBC adaptation of Little Women. The role that made Maya famous was her portrayal of Robin Buckley in the third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
