30 Relatable And Funny Comics About The Little Moments In Life, Mental Health Issues, And Other Situations Made By This Artist

Comics are a way for many artists to express their thoughts and humor. It goes without saying that the majority of the artist’s fans adore them because they can relate to them or their work in some manner. Many artists and creators do this as a full-time profession or as a hobby, but no matter how, when, or where they do it, they always include a healthy dosage of humor in their work.

Kubbs, a digital creator on Instagram who makes some amusing and relevant comics addressing mental health on a lighter scale, is one of those folks, and if you’d like to see some of his work, then think no further and scroll down below!

Bored Panda reached out to the author of the comics, first, we asked about how the artist started making comics, and how the whole thing came about.

“Surprisingly, I remember my first experience with a comic very well. Actually, it was a little Donald Duck strip in my father’s newspaper. During our family breakfast, little Kubbs noticed there some funny-looking pictures with bubbles filled with text. At first, it was very confusing, since I could barely put letters together (it’s not like I can do better now), but my father sat me down beside him and started to explain what was going on – I got hooked immediately. Since then, my journey with comics started and I’ve been reading them until today. Apparently, consuming wasn’t enough for me so I started to experiment and do something on my own. Wow! What an original story, I know…”

We were also wondering what inspires Kubbs to make comics overall.

“Making comics is a hobby to me, this is a type of activity that helps me to find an outlet for my creative juices. I assume that main inspiration comes from everyday life – common observations and retrospections. Add to it a lot of consumed pop culture pulp, memes and art. Eventually, you will get something resembling inspiration.”

We were also wondering whether the artist was always making comics or if it was just something he started doing recently, and here’s what he told us.

“Till late 2020, I was working mainly as an animator, both on personal and also commercial projects. Unfortunately, animation is a quite time-consuming process, and if you want to make it right, you have to spend countless hours polishing your little baby. (Dang! It doesn’t sound right.) Since I had lots of ideas to push through and so little time, I started to wonder how I could share my work in a more efficient way. The answer came immediately – comics. I wouldn’t call it ‘art,’ though, it’s rather little creations. Art is a big word and shall be reserved for pieces of human creativity that really make a difference, opposite to silly comics of mine.”

A lot of people enjoy the work Kubbs puts out, we were curious about what it was like to have such a motivating audience.

“I’d say that is the point of all that – to bring entertainment and silliness to people in those gloomy times. It brings real joy to me when I can share my works with others – rather it’s a comic or a cartoon. The feedback I got from my audience is very encouraging and keeps me going. I consider myself a small figure in the webcomic area, but happy with every person who sees my works as relatable and vulnerable. Thank you all!”

Lastly, we decided to let the artist share his additional thoughts with all of you Pandas.

“Looking at my social media profiles, you can see that I haven’t been posting for a while. I had personal issues I had to deal with and couldn’t focus on creating. Nonetheless, I will be back with new content this year! New comics and cartoons are coming, so keep your eyes peeled. Consider following me on socials to be up to date – I’d appreciate that.”
