5 surprising proposals to repurpose abandoned subways in Paris

There are eight abandoned metro stations in Paris that have been collecting dust for 75 years. If Nathalie Koziuscot-Morizet is elected as mayor of Paris in 2014 these ghost stations could be reinvented into incredible public spaces. She has teamed up with architect planner Nicolas Laisné and presented five exciting concept images.

The proposals include an epic swimming pool, an art gallery, restaurant, concert venue and performance center. Check the renderings below side-by-side with photos of one of the current ghost stations.
