Coming up on June 23rd, Ben Tolman will be opening a new show of his incredibly detailed drawings at Jonathan LeVine Projects in New Jersey. The American artist’s artistic vision takes Escher-like influences and combines with them a urban sensibility as well as surreal elements, leading to frenetic compositions that overwhelm the eye in a way that’s uniquely his own. Making an appearance every now and then in Tolman’s imagery are these grid-like structures (like these teaser images from the upcoming exhibition pictured above and below) of treasured items that any art collector would be envious of.
