The paper is more sustainable than plastic, but the bags provide a bit of a UX hassle for dispensing and are often decanted altogether into an additional vessel. The polypropylene object is essentially a bag clip with a built-in lidded spout. It seals the bag, but lets you more easily pour from it. It’s also dishwasher-safe.
