This highly conceptual chair design is a free form transparent blob filled with 64 liters of liquid. Why 64 liters? Because this is the average amount of tears that a human will shed in their lifetime. This simple idea is beautifully diverse in emotion, being simultaneously humanizing, tragic, and inspiring.
Japanese designer Keita Suzuki is behind the design she calls ‘The Tear Drop Chair.’ The minimal free-form blob is made of strong vinyl plastic. Its transparency has natural magnifying properties giving it a fun look that camouflages into its surroundings.
