Rather than hairpin legs, you could call these paper clip legs. German designer Jakob Schenk’s Tick Large are a set of metal table legs that exploit the material’s properties to form an easy-on, easy-off connection to the tabletop:

Admittedly, I can’t think of a situation where I’d need these, but darn if it isn’t clever.
