Whether it’s solid wood coming out of a sawmill, or plywood coming out of a veneer press, wood comes to us in flat forms. To shape and join it in the curved shapes that we like for furniture is often labor-intensive.
However, this Stool #1, by clever designer Thibault Huguet, reminds us that creating a curve can be dead simple:

The base is made of Ash, and a single carriage bolt lets the Birch plywood seat do its thing.

Probably not the most durable seat in the world, but you get the idea. Take from it what you can.
