A Terrace in London With a Covering Made of Interlocking Wooden Tiles

Having an outdoor terrace of this caliber at your disposal would make staying at home so much easier, wouldn’t you agree? This private space in London was designed by New York architecture studio Schiller Projects. Using custom-made veneer lumber tiles, all fabricated from a single sheet of sustainably sourced material, the central pavilion relies on zero steel or concrete for support. The covering diffuses light beautifully through to the underlying space, just beckoning for you to come sit and rest for 10 minutes or all day. The 500-square-foot space includes two seating spaces, custom cabinetry and a backgammon set – a stunning use of rooftop terrace.
