Power track systems like this Bull Track Socket are more flexible alternatives to conventional power outlets. They’re hard-wired into the wall, and on their own, you could mistake one for a magnetic knife rack:

The actual sockets are separate objects that slide into the track. They receive power anywhere along the track, so you can slide them to wherever’s convenient.
Furthermore—and this is a really nice touch–the sockets have a subtle dial on the outside that allows you to toggle the power on or off. A small light indicates the power status.
