Acquisitions récentes aux Arts Déco, enfin du graphisme à Paris !
Fait suffisamment rare pour être souligné, une grande exposition de graphisme se tient actuellement à Paris. “Design Graphique : acquisitions récentes” s’installe aux Musée des Arts Décoratifs jusqu’au 27 aout et, si le titre affiche une grande sobriété, c’est pour mieux s’effacer au profit de son très riche contenu. Un parcours qui fait le plus grand bien.
M/M, Akatre, Ill Studio , Des Signes, Spassky Fischer, S-Y-N-D-I-C-A-T, deValence , Helmo, H5, Production Type, Yorgo et Co et tant d’autres… Tout ce beau monde nourrit les salles confidentielles au 3e étage du musée. La sélection, éclectique, présente une partie de la collection de design graphique acquise par l’établissement au fil des années, reboostée sous l’impulsion d’Antoine + Manuel depuis 2009. L’expo est de taille, 300 pièces jalonnent les murs et nous envoient un double message. Elles font valoir la qualité du savoir-faire hexagonal en la matière ainsi que son excellente transmission. Dans cette foison d’images se dissimule aussi bien le travail de quelques personnalités du graphisme en France comme Pierre di Sciullo, Anette Lenz ou Pierre Faucheux, que de jeunes pousses à l’instar de Diane Boivin ou Brest Brest Brest.
L’ensemble permet de dresser le portrait d’univers graphiques différents, exercés dans des univers variés. Si l’affiche grand format occupe la majorité de l’espace, l’exposition présente aussi des projets d’édition, du packaging, de la création de caractères et même du matériel sportif.
