AgneArt’s Lipstick Tower is more than just make-up art; it’s a protest against mindless consumerism

Agne Kisonaite, who goes under the pseudonym AgneArtis a multi-faceted artist from Lithuania. Although she majored in painting, her expertise includes furniture designs, handmade carpets, and art installations.

One of, if not the, most famous art she has ever made was the Lipstick Tower exhibited in Hong Kong which achieved a Guinness World Record in 2015. She used over 5000 pieces of used lipsticks to make a 2.5-meter giant lipstick weighing 200 kilograms.

In this project, her goal was to raise awareness on the impact of consumerism on the world’s daily waste material. It took about two months to complete the process of drawings, calculations, and search for construction materials. It took another month to complete the installation with the help of 10 volunteers.
