‘Alphabeard’ typeface made from skillfully sculpted facial hair

This New York City designer has sculpted beard upon beard to construct the thorough ‘Alphabeard’ typeface. Using a reductive process Michael Allen formed his facial hair into the entire alphabet and then digitized the project into an actual legible typeface.

No detail was spared in this time-consuming project. Allen even created bold and medium variations based on growth thickness and by hiding some of his lip. Check out the entire collection and the design process below!
