With countless ways of depicting hair and fur in today’s digital art world, Maxim Shkret‘s 3D illustrations are unique and bold.
The Moscow-based illustrator mixes 3D-modeling with digital illustration to create unique portraits of animals, humans and everything in between. Flowing hair and fur appear geometrically with carefully-applied soft shadows, resulting in a paper sculpture effect. Symmetry in some of the portraits also helps to accentuate the boldness in each image -particularly in the fox and the lion.
