Americans and the Porcelain City Part 1

In honor of the installation Evolution of Chinese Ceramics and Their Global Influence, this March 3, 2013 Sunday at the Met focuses on the influence that the city of Jingdezhen, China has had on contemporary artists. Artist Wayne Higby discusses his experiences in the city, it’s historical role in creating ceramics, and his own artwork.

The installation Evolution of Chinese Ceramics and Their Global Influence is on view on the Great Hall Balcony, Galleries 200-205, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
