Americans and the Porcelain City Part 2

In honor of the installation Evolution of Chinese Ceramics and Their Global Influence, this March 3, 2013 Sunday at the Met focuses on the influence that the city of Jingdezhen, China has had on contemporary artists. Artist Sin-ying Ho, who draws inspiration from both historical Chinese ceramics and contemporary pop culture, describes her experiences working in the ceramics studio and gives insight into how she creates her work.

The installation Evolution of Chinese Ceramics and Their Global Influence is on view on the Great Hall Balcony, Galleries 200-205, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
