Lollipops as works of art? Who wouldn’t dig that?
Candy artist Shinri Tezuka runs a Tokyo-based candy shop called Ameshin, which he’s filled with some unusually awesome lollipop creations. Each translucent piece is hand-crafted into forms inspired by lions, goldfish, and even hedgehogs.
Working with crystallized hot sugar is similar to glassmaking and is traditional referred to as amezaiku in Japanese. Check out some more designs on Tezuka’s Instagram and visit the Ameshin candy shop in a video from DogaTV.
