An Online Film Festival Commemorates the Liberation of the Nazi Concentration Camps

Liberation75 bills itself as the world’s largest commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps. Among the numerous online discussions and events, it is also hosting a free virtual film festival. Through the rest of this week, you can view a variety of movies, both fiction and nonfiction, about World War II and the Holocaust. The titles include the 1940 Charlie Chaplin satire The Great Dictator, Alain Resnais’s landmark postwar documentary Night and Fog, and Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List.

All films are available in Canada (with a few exceptions in Quebec), with 20 available in the United States. Availability in the rest of the world varies; check the listings to see what’s free in your region.
