The 2021 Foundwork Artist Prize has been awarded to multidisciplinary artists Kent Chan (Amsterdam/Singapore) and Onyeka Igwe (London). Both honorees will receive unrestricted $10,000 grants and studio visits with the distinguished jurors: Vanessa Carlos (London), Qu Chang (Hong Kong/Shenzhen), Bridget Donahue (New York), Cédric Fauq (Bordeaux/Paris), Thomas Lawson (Los Angeles), and Thiago de Paula Souza (Gothenburg/São Paulo).

Three artists were named to the 2021 short list: Selva Aparicio (Chicago), Law Yuk Mui (Hong Kong), and Bri Williams (Los Angeles). Each of the honorees and shortlisted artists will be featured in interviews as part of the Foundwork Dialogues program to be published over the coming months.
