Annual Corso Zundert parade in Netherlands celebrate nation’s iconic flowers

The annual Corso Zundert was founded in 1936 and is a celebration of the Netherlands’ most iconic flowers.

The annual event takes place in the small town of Zundert in which 20 teams of volunteers from compete for the best-designed float. The float designs incorporate moving elements and some are covered completely in vivid dahlia flowers. The parade is accompanied by marching bands and performers with hundreds of onlookers joining in on the fun. “Dangerous Transportation” took home this year’s award. It featured a giant dragon and was designed by the Tiggelaar group of volunteers. Head on over to John DG Photography for more high-quality photos from the event.
