Apply for the Institute of American Indian Arts’s MFA in Indigenous Arts

The MFA in Studio Arts program at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico is a low-residency graduate program that is mindful of students’ needs to maintain relationships with their home communities while they develop their professional arts practice. The core pedagogical approach of the program is based on nurturing mentorships with renowned master artists.

Since its inception 60 years ago, IAIA has been dedicated to the study and advancement of Native arts and cultures. The school is deeply committed to student achievement and the preservation and progress of Native communities.
