Vivian McKenna is the embodiment of generations of talent coursing through the bloodlines. From her mom and grandma, she has seen a lot of art growing up. These two women have influenced her since she was a kid.

She has a pretty simple life, sitting at home quietly when she’s immersed with her work. Her mom and her grandmother looking over her – even when they aren’t there (there are a lot of paintings of her influences in the room).
“My grandmother was made a life member of The New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts back in her day because she was such a prolific artist and both she and my mother exhibited at the academy. I just grew up with it.”
