Artists Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige discuss two works that they produced after “Latent Images,” each one dealing with cultural identity, memory, and alternative historiographies. “Lebanese Rocket Society,” which references a national space project from the 1960s, and “On Scams (I must first apologise),” which explores profiteering Internet scams from between 1999 and 2012, were complex works that adopted multiple forms including film, photography, sculpture, installation, and performance.
