Artist reimagines taxidermy heads with faux animal parts and upholstery

Want to spice up your living room with some unique taxidermy? Kelly Rene Jelinek has been reinventing the everyday home decor with fabric.

The artist, influenced by her time spent in rural Wisconsin as a youth, uses her talent to create life-size anatomical mounts using upholstery fabric. Using foam mounts provided by actual taxidermists, Jelinek puts together the mounts by applying shreds of fabric, yarn, resin, and glass marble eyes. The resulting mounts provide a contemporary look and feel to the traditional decor.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Check out some of the mounts below, and visit her Etsy shop to get one for yourself.
