Artists mix high art and hip-hop for wearable hilarity

The geniuses behind millennial brand Rad have done it again — this time with Fly Art, a collection of shirts that mix high art and low art (specifically, hip hop lyrics and images of classical art).

The tops, created by twenty-somethings Gisella Velasco and Toni Potenciano, pair classic paintings from Renoir and Dalí with lyrics from heavy-hitters like Drake, Kanye, and more. Both eye-catching and educational, this clever fashion pastiche features some witty titles to boot. Think “Persistence of Ms Jackson” (Outkast lyrics +”The Persistence of Memory”),  and “Nicky Monaj” (Nicki Minaj lyrics + “Mona Lisa”).
