Average people transformed into thrill-seeking superheroes 1000-feet up

With the help of some adrenaline seeking office workers, photographer Benjamin Van Wong created gasp-inducing photographs depicting superheroes on the tops of skyscrapers. Van Wong, who is a trained stuntman, gathered a group of SmugMug employees and had them pose on the edge of a 1,000-foot building in San Francisco.

On his blog, Van Wong said “seeing them challenge themselves and finding courage where they thought there was none was absolutely inspiring. It is not the lack of fear that makes a superhero a hero, but what they do in the face of fear that makes all the difference.”

This is the second in his “Ordinary People Transformed” series. In the first, he transformed everyday citizens into super athletes.
