Magical worlds are captured in this series of snail photographs by Ukrainian photographer, Vyacheslav Mishchenko. In these macro shots, we see the curious lives that these tiny creatures lead. This photograph collection gives an up-close and personal look into the habitat and habits of snails.
“’I’m an old romantic at heart and as soon I saw these two cute snails, I knew it would make a great picture,” said Mishchenko in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, referring to a photo where two snails reached across a divide to steal a kiss. “The average person misses so much, it’s only when you look a little closer that you’ll find many moments such as this one.”

In these photos, Mishchenko does not miss much as he gets down in the dirt and crawls through the underbrush to capture these surprisingly sweet scenes of snails.
