On the left is Big Bird. On the right is Abelardo, the equivalent character on the Sésamo, the version of Sesame Street that airs in Mexico. He’s one of many Big Bird characters that exists in what is apparently a Sesame Street multiverse.

My thanks to Jonathan H. Gray for bringing this information to light. Robert Bahn continues the explorations by pointing out that some Big Bird characters aren’t even birds, such as a lion in India, a meerkat in South Africa, and . . . something in Egypt.
It makes me wonder: if there’s a multiverse in which there are an infinite number of versions of ourselves, what alternate versions of Miss Cellania exist?
