Pigeons aren’t exactly seen as classy animals, but they’re very cosmopolitan and they have beautiful plumage when their feathers haven’t been wrecked by life in the big city.

So I can see how someone would be inspired by the pigeon’s coloration when designing clothing, especially winter wear, but I never saw high heels shaped liked pigeons coming- and neither did these real live pigeons.
And that’s really the point of Japanese shoe designer Kyoto Ohata‘s ridiculously cool pigeon shoes- they’re designed by a bird lover so pigeons won’t be scared of her shoes while she walks around town.
Now the pigeons don’t run away when Kyoto Ohata comes around- they sit and stare, wondering how they can free their fellow pigeons from that evil woman walking on their back!
