Boston Dynamics, the Massachusetts-based is at the forefront of robotic engineering, despite the creepy vibe given off by its new robot.
The hybrid robot is an enhanced version of its classic four-legged, dog-like model augmented with wheels. Dubbed, “Handle,” the machine was filmed in action performing twists and turns as smooth as can be. It’s unsettling to watch a pile of nuts and bolts move about so freely and fluidly. It can roll down a snowy hill and even pick up heavy crates. Have a look at the contraption that may one day work alongside us – or enslave us depending on who you ask.
