Breathtaking installation of suspended flowers delicately transforms London museum

The site specific installations of Rebecca Louise Law fill rooms with natural materials. Mostly known for her works that suspend dried flowers, her large-scale pieces delicately transform spaces. The London-based artist studied fine art at Newcastle University before putting her talents to work in the florist industry. Her current series of art projects combines these two interests into elegant flower installations that have been commissioned by style brands such as Hermes and Gucci.

Even though the installations are composed of flowers, they can hardly be thought of as corny. Instead, the ceiling of dried blossoms tastefully evokes a suspended field of blooms. The piece immediately below is titled ‘The Flower Garden Display’d 2014.’ Its 4,600 blooms were installed at London’s Garden Museum for their Flowers & Fashion exhibition.
