Brice Marden: “You Look at it, and it Makes you Better”

In 1966, artist Brice Marden began working as Robert Rauschenberg’s studio assistant. Marden compares the influence of Rauschenberg, whose work he admires but does not see as connected to his own, with his admiration for the works of painter and printmaker Jasper Johns.
