EMTs and paramedics have one of the hardest jobs in the world, a job that takes its toll on them physically and mentally as they spend their days and nights saving lives without so much as a thank you.
So in order to spread awareness about how important their job is, and how people can help them do their job more effectively without interference, they’d like you to know what people do that pisses them off.
Things like calling an ambulance to drive you to your doctor, talking trash to EMTs for helping the person who caused an accident and lying to them about what really happened all make their job harder than it needs to be.
Paramedics are caring, compassionate people who often work 16- to 24-hour shifts and go home with bodily fluids on their uniforms and the rescues of the night weighing on their minds.
So let’s show them we appreciate all the work we do by listening to their complaints and trying to make their job easier, because without paramedics and EMTs we’re dead meat!
