CalArts Cultivates an Environment of Artistic Experimentation and Free Creative Exploration

California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) is renowned as a game-changer when it comes to the education of professional artists. The impact our alumni have had on arts and culture around the world shows why: We bring out visionary creative talent unlike any other university, school, or conservatory.

An all-inclusive community for a diverse array of authentic voices, CalArts is accepting applications for our programs in six schools: Art, Theater, Dance, Music, Film/Video, as well as an MA in Aesthetics & Politics and an MFA in Creative Writing at the School of Critical Studies.
