Visual artists in all mediums are invited to apply to become a featured artist on Artsy Shark. Selection is made through a competitive juried process which involves a jury fee. We accept submissions in a variety of mediums including: painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, photography, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, wood, printmaking and others.

Each artist feature presents the portfolio of a single artist and tells their story in the artist’s own words. Links in the article send traffic to the artist’s website as well as their social media profiles. This gives artists the opportunity to sell their work, build awareness, and grow their email list for follow up purposes. Artsy Shark never receives fees or commissions on sales or contracts that result from artist features.

Featured artists are promoted to our huge and growing subscriber and social media audience. More than 1,700 artists have been featured on Artsy Shark since 2009. All artist features are published permanently and available to view at any time (see our feaured artists gallery here.) After each feature is published, the artist receives a magazine-style version in PDF form to use as marketing collateral.

Applications are subject to a fee of $25. This Call for Artists is highly competitive and not all artists will be accepted. Previously featured artists may not apply again. Selection is made through viewing the applicant’s art website or other online presence listed in the submission form. Artists will be notified of the results of their submission within three weeks after the deadline.
