We might pride ourselves to be more advanced and more literate than our predecessors thanks to the available resources and technology we have at our disposal, but have you ever wondered if you can actually pass a literacy test from a few decades ago? How about trying to pass a literacy that was designed to be impossible to pass? The 1964 Louisiana literacy test was a common vote suppression tactic for Black voters in the South. A sad reality, really.
