Each chair is represented with an individual story and illustration. What I personally really like is that they used only illustrations instead of photographs and Antonio Solaz masterfully managed to work with different techniques in order not to bore. He has been given total freedom to interpret the writings in various ways. The result is an illustrated book, in form and also in function, as Bauhausians would say that a good chair has to be and as Andreu World makes chairs for sixty-five years. Not only did I find the book informative, but it is also very entertaining. With contributions from several specialists, including historians of design, architecture, and art, Chairpedia is truly a unique encyclopedic work, which is just quite fun and entertaining to browse through.
