One man’s trash can be another’s canvas. For one Chinese artist, discarded cardboard pieces become a medium for beautiful still-life drawings.
The artist wanders the streets of Dali, in the Yunnan Province of China, looking for bits of cardboard that have been thrown away.
The artist then takes the discarded pieces and draws the environments in which the piece was found. The works span black and white sketches to full-fledged color drawings featuring homes and cityscapes. The finished artworks are then left in their original locations. Wenyi said, “I want people to see art in our everyday life.” Check out some of his illustrations below!
