City of elegant, moving paper sculptures took 365 days to make!

Many consider paper-modeling to be a dying art form. However, despite the popularity of CAD software and other easier means of 3D visualization, nothing matches the elegance and intricacy of paper models.

Artist Charles Young set out on a very ambitious task: to create one paper model daily for 365 days. The result is an astonishing city of paper-made structures, trees, and a blimp! The fragile sculptures were made using 220gsm watercolor paper and PVA glue. While admiring the models, you will also notice that some have moving parts, like old-school windmills, a blimp, and a carousel.
