Convenience store filled with goods made entirely of felt fabric on display at The Standard in New York City

British artist Lucy Sparrow, known for her felt-made creations, has once again showcased her incredible talent. Her new installation, a convenience store with goods made completely of fermented fabric, will be on display at The Standard, High Line in New York City. While New Yorkers can easily visit the store in person, those that physically can’t have the choice to go to her official website where each item inside the bodega will be officially up for sale.

The pop-up convenience store installation, playfully called 8 ‘Til Late, will be filled with sewn goods such as cereals, frozen foods, spirits, and even the resident store mouse and cat. This installation was a follow-up to her London exhibit last 2014 called The Corner Shop which focused on Eurocentric products.

Lucy Sparrow’s felt works have been a part of prestigious art festivals around the world including Miami’s Art Basel and SCOPE, and New York’s Affordable Art Fair.
