Cosmic art collages created from Macbook screenshots

Japanese artist Toru Izumida utilizes the screenshot as an artistic tool to stitch together collages from web-based media. He puts together unexpected combinations of images of nature, mysterious stock-image women, and psychedelic textures to form cosmic imagery all compiled into one single composition.

According to the Japan-born, New York-based artist, screenshots are his means of modern archiving. For this reason, “the exact date and signature of the creation is recorded on every work.” Izumida’s screenshots are all real Mac layouts, captured and turned into prints.
