Last week New Yorkers braved the frigid winds and snow flurries to check out the new solo show of Brooklyn based street artist Bäst. Best known for his complex collage work, army of wheat pastes seen all over the world, and his larger than life collaborations with artists like Faile, Bäst has made the jump from the streets to large scale installations including the Brooklyn Museum, and now a fine art solo show at Allouche Gallery in the Meatpacking District in NYC. The very elusive artist showcased a new body of work combining bright vibrant colors with mixed media creations on canvases, old book covers, & intricate sculptural works. Those that braved the crazy winter weather were rewarded with a must see exhibition.
