Learn how to co-create community norms in the classroom and understand students’ cultures and identities through a deep dive into the practice and theory of Culturally Responsive Teaching Strategies in the Arts, with a focus on anti-bias and anti-racist education. Expect to leave with daily practices that can be used in the classroom and for personal growth around supporting our students from BIPOC communities in and through the arts. Be sure to bring your sketchbook to visually process ideas through drawing, journaling, and collage!
