Designer re-imagines major brand logos in beautiful hand-lettering

We’ve seen alternative renditions of famous brands and their logos time and time again but graphic design graduate Sara Marshall’s latest portfolio series kicks them all to the curb in style.

Household names like YouTube, FedEx, and Skype all traditionally lean toward flat designs for their logos. By giving them a hand-written look, Marshall has reinvented the logos and made them look fresh again.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Explaining the idea behind the series, Marshall writes on her Behance page, “An attempt has been made to explore a variety of lettering styles and examine contemporary trends within lettering itself – custom scripts and brushwork, calligraffiti, contemporary sign painting. The purpose, besides being a personal exploration of letterforms, is to reimagine these logos while retaining key defining elements of their original branding. This will both investigate the essence of the brand and test the strength of their associations.”
