Detailed fast food joint carved completely from wood

New York City artist Roxy Paine’s installation entitled ‘Carcass’ is a life-sized replica of a fast food kitchen carved completely out of wood. Paine didn’t miss a single feature in his sculpture. The space has every detail of a fast food kitchen including a fryer, counter, soft service ice cream machines, napkin dispensers and racks for hamburger boxes and french fry holders.

Instead of a kitchen full of cooks and servers, Paine’s kitchen is static and absent of function and appeal. But that’s the point, to critique the unhealthy fast food industry.
