Using a variety of different materials, Valerie Blass has created a series of distinctive sculptures of the human form. For most of them, Blass leaves out the figure’s face or other parts of the body. Instead, they’re represented by surreal characteristics like a colorful mass or a section of hair. This adds a psychological element about the figures identities, or lack there of.
