Victoria Baldwin and Adam Dyson may be divorced, but they’re determined to keep their family united for the sake of their son, Bruce. That’s why they still take family pictures together 2 years after separating, and intend to make it a tradition.
Baldwin submitted her family’s touching story on Love What Matters, a Facebook news outlet, and has struck a chord with her honesty. “We are not in love, we don’t always agree, we’re not best friends, sometimes we don’t even like one another. But you know what we are? We are forever connected because of our beautiful, smart, kind, compassionate, funny son,” she wrote about her former marriage and Bruce.

On the effect she hopes the photos will have on her young son, she wrote that “he will know it is possible to fall out of love but never fall apart.” In a society where brutal divorces and domestic conflicts are sensationalized and seen as commonplace, these parents want their son to grow up with a different view.
