Creative Freedom is Power

What happens when one of the most eclectic pop stars on the planet meets a famous champagne brand? The result can be explosive and the new Dom Pérignon x Lady Gaga: Creative Freedom is Power advertising campaign certifies it. A project that saw the participation of international artists, stylists and creatives. All united to give shape to the “Queendom”, as it was called, or the reign of the “Queen” Lady Gaga. An ideal and captivating world in which the singer is the undisputed queen. She parades into a liquid, glam and surreal space.Effervescent like the bubbles of champagne, immersed in an atmosphere of mostly pink and purple tones and holding a bottle of fine vintage 2006 rosé.

“My dream was to create an explosion of positive fantasy: a wonderful world that exists only in people’s imaginations. Fantasy is a very important part of life; it makes us dream and fuels our creativity.”Nick Knight, acclaimed British director and photographer, founder of the art and fashion site SHOWstudio.com, signed the campaign video. All of Gaga’s loyalists are present in the project: choreographer Richard Jackson, make-up artist Sarah Tanno, nail artist Miho Okawara and fashion designer Nicola Formichetti. The contract that Lady Gaga has entered into with the Maison de Champagne will last two years.

The Sculptures Of Lady Gaga & Dom Pérignon

With the stylist Formichetti (Italian born in Tokyo, she gained popularity for being the pop star’s fashion stylist) Lady Gaga designed a limited edition sculpture of 110 pieces for the advertising campaign: the work sees an iridescent veil wrapping a Jéroboam by Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage that to lift itself as in the absence of gravity. The work will be on sale from next autumn and exhibited in the main headquarters of Dom Pérignon; in addition, the proceeds will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation, – the non-profit organization founded by the singer and her mother Cynthia Germanotta – at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic.

Lady Gaga & Dom Pérignon: Creativity Without Brakes

“Their tradition is centuries old but they push their own boundaries and find ways to completely reinvent themselves. And I am really excited about this collaboration, we are both inspired by the need to freely express creativity ”, explained the singer addressing the strategy of the champagne house.

The foray of artists into Dom Pérignon projects is not unusual for the well-known brand, which had previously collaborated with Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, creators of Toiletpaper Magazine, creating the Silence! The Party. “This is a celebration of how the overcoming of the boundaries of creation, constant reinvention and passionate dedication can elevate us, both individually and collectively”, concluded the Maison, “and since Dom Pérignon supports and embraces the causes of the artists with whom he collaborates , this alliance will give significant support to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation ”.
