Elicia Edijanto has a way of circling back to DesignFaves (here and here) every now and again with her wonderful silhouetted paintings exploring relationships between children and animals.
The Indonesia-based artist pits children and wildlife against grayscale backdrops painted with watercolor, depicting the loving relationships between her subjects. Edijanto says, “My subject are often children and animal because they are honest, sincere, unprejudiced and unpretentious. They give me so much inspiration for [a] particular mood or atmosphere, such as tranquility, solemnity, and also wilderness and freedom, which I put on my paintings.” Some of her paintings are available as prints on her website.
